Physio Triage
We have been working with Allen Physiotherapy Rehabilitation and Sport Medicine (APR) to provide a triage clinic for the sixth form athletes. APR are based in Guildford and have a fantastic reputation, having worked with many sporting athletes.
We are incredibly fortunate to have Lucy Eggleton, former National Level Gymnast working with our girls. Lucy initially qualified with a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention in 2009 from Middlesex University, and subsequently completed an MSc in Physiotherapy at Kings College London in 2012. Lucy has worked in athletics for seven years, travelling internationally with track and field athletes. Lucy is a member of the England Athletics Physiotherapy support team, and you will often find her on the side of an athletics track throughout the year.

The aim of the weekly triage clinic is to allow athletes who have recently suffered an injury to be assessed, given guidance on further rehabilitation if required and receive treatment if necessary. They can also be advised on future participation in training and fixtures, which might help manage expectations.
The PE department will invite athletes each week to attend a 20 minute appointment, for which there will be no fee to the athletes. These will take place in the medical room at the sports centre.
As your daughters are over the age of 16 years old, they will be asked to sign a registration and consent to treatment form, and GDPR consent form in their first appointment.
