MICHAELMAS TERM: LEARNING TO LIVE AND THINK WELL
This term allows for reflection and developing an understanding of good mental, emotional and physical health and wellbeing - and understanding this in relation to our mind, body and soul. Outside speakers will support the series of lessons, topics of which include: body image and media, mental health, sexual health, substances and harm reduction and digital wellbeing.
LENT TERM: RISK TAKING AND REPUTATIONS
Following on from some topics last term, lessons will look at the teenage brain in relation to taking risks and with reference to the ‘party scene’.
TRINITY TERM: WELLBEING AND FINANCE
This term will cover a range of topics, beginning with wellbeing ahead of exams and self-care plans. The latter part of the term will cover financial terms, economic wellbeing, and understanding money! The RE Department and tutors will also cover the PREVENT strategy - a Government scheme to bring an understanding to young people around terrorism and extremist behaviour to recognise vulnerabilities, signs of radicalisation and relevant signposting for support.
